Captivating Moments: The Heart of My Journey

Hi, my name is Tim Jones, and I love football more than anything. Ever since I was little, I’ve dreamed about running out on a big field one day with a crowd cheering, lights shining, and my family watching from the stands.
But really, I don’t have a family I have a tribe. My tribe is big and full of love. My Grandma Polly teaches me about manners and faith. She always tells me to be kind, say “yes ma’am” and “no sir,” and to pray when things feel hard. My Grandma Sylvia teaches me about business and money. She says when I earn something, I have to respect it, save it, and use it wisely. And then there’s my little Unc, Anakin. We’ve been raised together since I was only two years old. We do everything together riding bikes, scootering, fishing, or trying anything we can think of. I have so many people in my tribe, and they all help me become better every day.
My mom is my biggest fan. She’s the reason I keep pushing myself to be great. She takes me to practice, cheers at my games, and always reminds me to work hard and stay humble. My brother Ricco is my best friend, and even though we fight sometimes, we always got each other’s back.
My dad can’t be here with me all the time, but he calls me every single morning and every night. He tells me to respect my momma, help Ricco, and stay strong no matter what. He says to keep my head up, focus on my goals, and never stop chasing my dream. His calls make me feel like he’s right here beside me, cheering me on.
Sometimes things are tough. Other kids have new gear and get to travel to all the big games, playoffs, and football camps out of state. That stuff costs a lot, and even with my whole tribe pulling together, I miss most of them. But I never stop believing. I know that if I keep working hard and stay grateful, my time will come.
So, I just want to say thank you, for real, for supporting me and believing in me. It means more than I can say. My Grandma Sylvia and I are planning to open a little store soon on this site to help raise money so I can join my team at more games and camps. We’re still coming up with ideas, but every bit helps.
Thank you again for cheering me on, for seeing my heart, and for being part of my tribe. I’m going to make you proud.
